Q.E.D. (Q.E.D.証明終了, 2009) is the story of two high school students: Touma, a boy genius who recently transferred from an American M.I.T. school, and Kana, the adventurous daughter of a detective, who team up to solve mysteries.
It's school festival time at the high school, and this year the Kendo Club is opting to run a maid cafe and gain the most customers. Sadly, their spot is in an isolated area along with three other clubs; the Detective Club, Music (Visual Kei) Club and Rakugo (comedy storytelling) Club, all of whom are upset that the others might drive away business from their own projects. There's a blackout, and Kana leaves shortly to go after Touma, who had left earlier to be alone. When she returns, somebody has sabotaged something in each of the club areas, turning everybody against each other in angry accusations. What culprit (or culprits) could be behind it?
(愛してナイト) 1983
A handsome, purple-haired man named Satomi appears to have feelings for Yaeko, much to her father's chagrin. He often visits the restaurant and even brings her a bouquet of roses (which weren't cheap), and she happily accepts them. Hashizo, still riding on the excitement from his recent adventure, tries to get his brother to take him out for okonomiyaki, wanting "Go-chan" to meet his new friend (and not knowing they already have met, but not the way Hashizo would've preferred). Sadly, it's a busy day for both of them and there just isn't time - Hashizo will be starting kindergarten soon and must get fitted for his uniform. Determined to see Yaeko again, the little boy decides he'll simply drop off Juliano, thus forcing Go to eventually have to visit to get him back. During the cat's stay, Yaeko tries to give Juliano a bath, but he freaks out and scratches her face. There's a reason for that, and only Hashizo can explain.
(きらりん☆レボリューション) 2006
Kirari (voiced by Koharu Kusumi of Morning Musume!) is a middle schooler who LOVES her food. So much so that it's scary! While girls her age swoon over idols, Kirari swoons over her dad's cooking, and couldn't care less about the life of a celebrity. But when she saves the pet turtle of Seiji of pop group SHIPS and falls in love, she decides to become an idol herself so that they can be together (or so she hopes).
Episode 91:
"Yo Fuku" magazine wants Kirari to be their "model" for a special "First Date" column. Basically she'll be modeling clothes appropriate for a first date, coordinating depending on the situation. The trouble is, Kirari has no actual dating experience, so she's not sure of what to do. But with the magazine desperate to double their consumer base, this might soon change. Why are Seiji and Hiroto suddenly interested in Kirari doing things with them?
Episode 92:
Kari Sumako is a charismatic beauty stylist, whose "magic scissors" can turn anyone's hair into something completely the opposite of what the person wanted (always claiming it was the scissors' will that it turned out that way). When the scissors sing out for Naa-san, the poor kitty ends up with a Mohawk, and neither he nor Kirari are pleased. Angered by such insolence, Kari (with some prompting from a TV employee) challenges Kirari to a broadcast hair cutting battle, to see who really knows more about the craft.
Released in January, this DVD features episodes of the Alvin and the Chipmunks show where the Chipettes appear.
May The Best Chipmunk Win: Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor have just enrolled in the same school as The Chipmunks. Eager to fit in, Brittany seeks help from Alvin on just what she should do to become popular - he tells her to "think big," but he didn't mean for her to become his running mate for class president!

The Greatest Show-Offs on Earth: A beloved local circus is in danger of closing forever, and the Chipmunks and Chipettes decide to arrange a celebrity circus and raise the money to save it.
My Fair Chipette: Brittany and Alvin make a bet - if Alvin can turn any girl into a beauty queen and she wins the Miss Wonderful contest at their school, he'll get $1 along with any prize money she receives. The subject chosen? Clumsy and nerdy Jeanette.
Tell It To The Judge: Alvin breaks Dave's new and incredibly expensive bike, and decides to blame Brittany for it. Unable to afford a lawyer, he takes it to a public court TV show.
As I've said before, if you're a big Chipmunks (or in this case, Chipette) fan and are anxious to see anything from the TV show on DVD, check this out. It might send a message to the release company that we'd like season sets, or at least more of these. The DVD menu is pretty cute, but there are no extras. The original 80s songs sung are intact.

Suzuko, a woman Kana looks up to as an older sister figure, has written the schoolgirl to let her know she's getting married. Naturally, Kana goes over to visit as soon as possible, dragging Touma along for the ride. He soon loses his annoyance when he learns that Suzuko's mother is the famous doll maker, Katsumi Nanasawa, whose works easily fetch two million yen each. But the visit doesn't stay pleasant for long. They soon find that Yoshino, Suzuko's fiance, owes Kakuzou Akutsu, the director of a credit union, money, and the cold businessman won't relent in his harrassment until Katsumi gives one of her dolls to him. She refuses, proclaiming she would never give one of her dolls to someone who wouldn't love them. When Kazukou turns up dead some time later, shortly after Katsumi's own demise, it's up to Kana and Touma to find the killer in a list of three suspects.
In Princess Debut, it's your job to switch places with a nervous princess (who looks just like you and shares your name), and not only learn to dance, but somehow win the heart of one of several handsome princes before the end of 30 days. It's basically a "choose your own adventure" story where everything you say or do has an effect on the ending. When you've gained enough dancing experience points you can also unlock dresses and other items.
I personally think it's very cute. Learning to dance can be frustrating, though - you basically follow a moving ball around with your stylus, and they grade you on whether or not you can stay inside that ball as it moves ("bad," "great," etc.). And if you've got your sights set on a certain prince, it's hard to find them when you want them (and even if you do, it's difficult to get them to really warm up to you to the point where they'd ask you to be their dancing partner). But if you love stories about royalty and especially romance, check it out.
Wikipedia says this is a otome game, which is "a video game that is targeted towards a female market, where one of the main goals, besides the plot goal, is to develop a romantic relationship between the player character (a female) and one of several male characters." So there you have it.
William is still going about the motions of the life his father and high society expect of him, while falling to pieces behind closed doors. He deeply regrets not trying hard enough to find Emma, and takes up unhealthy habits in his utter depression. Meanwhile, Emma has been asked by Mrs. Trollop to accompany her to an important social event in London, much to her reluctance. Not only has she gone back to the city she'd never expected to set foot in again in 100 years, the news of William's recent life changing arrangement may be more than she can bare.Oooh, plot twist! Mrs. Trollop's connection to the Jones (specifically William) family was closer than I thought. You can't help but feel even more sympathy for William in this volume, he's so sad and unhappy, and well on his way to being an alcoholic.
