Jellaby, volume two

Photobucket

Portia is braver than most kids her age. After jumping off the train to escape the mysterious man, she, Jellaby and Jason head to Toronto by foot. Being little, unsupervised in a big, scary city is a lot for them to handle, but they must help Jellaby get back home; and a mysterious magician seems to have the answer. But is he trustworthy? And apparently Jellaby isn't the last of "his kind"; a female monster who befriends children for her own gains has her eyes set on Jason.

This was a very fast paced book, before I knew it, it was over. There are still a lot of unanswered questions and open ends (like, where exactly did Portia's dad go, and is he still alive (leaving his wallet and wedding ring behind doesn't say planned trip)? Is he the masked magician? Why did the monster go out of her way to lure the kids and Jellaby to her lair? It's not like she didn't have 500 kids from the nearby fair to choose from), so I really hope this isn't the last volume. One interesting thing I noticed is that this volume has the Disney logo on it (the first one doesn't). What's up with that?
